I write this with my own fingers and my own mind. Yes, I’ll be using AI to order my research, discover new resources and to ask whether it would rather fight a duck-sized horse or a horse-sized duck… you’d be surprised if I didn’t! But the content, words and thinking behind this newsletter are all mine.
The Big News
Beehive is speeding up the process of slowing down.
Newsletters feel old school. But like the vinyl record and tape cassette, they’re coming back in a big way. The idea of pausing the process of flicking between endless tabs, responding to notifications, taking a deep breath, grabbing a coffee, sitting back in your chair and having a good read… well it sounds nice.
Beehive are (now) the market leaders in Newsletter tech IMO. For the 2,000 of us who watched the Winter release live stream, it was an unusually exciting tech SAAS live stream. It was polished, fast paced, nil-waffle beauty of a product release video.

They’ve clearly been busy getting ready to ship these new features and if you’re in the newsletter game, you should have a look at what they’ve built. If you’re not, watch the product release anyway - in my opinion it was a fantastic example of thorough messaging; thoughtful branding and laser focus on user-facing product.

A good week for the vibe coders, cheers Google
Gemini 3 just landed with (per TechCrunch) record benchmark scores. Anecdotally, I hear it’s a big step up.
Huge platform upgrades like this ought to be considered by tech teams. Tech is shifting so fast right now that if your team isn’t considering these tool upgrades on a weekly basis, you’ll be left behind.
Antigravity is Google’s new “agent-first” coding/IDE tool that sits on top of/beside/inside Gemini 3. If Gemini 3 is a new brain, Antigravity is 3 virtual team members into which you can pop shiny new brain. The barrier to entry for the non-techies is getting lower.
Open AI’s Codex Max is having a crack at context. Codex Max can read more, remember more, use more at once, like a huge RAM upgrade for vibe coders. In theory, this should really reduce the amount of tokens being gobbled up by the LLMs to “move that logo a bit to the right”…
